First model of 2021 and first model of my Blood Angels army. I had started him for the November Dakka challenge (Saints and Sinners) and finally put the final effort in to get him done. First time doing edge highlighting and gradient shading (properly anyway).

Thanks, I wanted to get a Dredd in the Cursed Earth vibe between the glossy black and the dull brown leather. In particular I was thinking of the scene from the Stallone Judge Dredd movie where Fargo takes the long walk (Max Von Sydow is one of the few reasons to watch it). That billowing long coat and the stoic determination to bring the law to the badlands.

It took me a while to get it to “gather” right and I’m still not sure I’m happy with it but there comes a point when you have to walk away!
