I'm thinking of getting back to Epic 40K, and I really adore the new 3D printed minis for Epic I've seen. They look even better than GW's originals, although to be fair, those models are considered vintage so they had technical limitations of the day etc.

But I really cannot get into the rabbit hole of DIY 3D printing. I'd much rather commission the printing work from somewhere.

Can yall point me in the right direction? FWIW I'm looking to print thingverse stuff, similar to the stuff shown in this thread:

Thanks

It depends on what you want really.

The more common marine stuff pops up on eBay on a pretty regular bases.
Tactical command forums are also a gold mine for finding printed stuff.

I’ve asked around a few times about specific prices for printing and it’s always on the extremely high side.

The discord’s warhammer 40k (unofficial ones) usually have a printing section in them where you can find people willing to print.

For an idea on some of the quotes I’ve got, things like a typhon and Cerberus tend to get quotes at around £20 each.
On eBay they pop up for generally 1/4 of that price and occasionally in metal too.

Look on print forums for people in your country. I have printed a number of items for folks on this forum and others, so you should be able to find someone close that can print and avoid a big shipping cost.

When I print items for people I am generally about $20 for the first run, and the amount of stuff you get really depends on the size of the minis and what can fit on a build plate for a run, so once the file is sliced and ready to print, second and third prints come down dramatically - e.g. 40 minis needed - first 8 minis = $20, runs 2-3 $12 each, runs 4-5 $8 each, so all 40 minis cost $60 or $1.50 each. If the minis were much taller than the standard 32mm, the cost would be more.
