New player here. Trying to build a future list which utilizes the 2 Deff Dreads that I got in the 2 start collecting boxes that I bought. I've added in a lot of boyz and some other high performing units that I think will make a good base for future army building. Hope is that it's competitive enough that I can win some open and matched play games at the local hobby shop and start to learn real strategy.

So this is a Goffs list. I also have an Evil Suns list idea but I like the Goffs paint scheme better and Skarboyz so that's what I stuck with. Plan is to deep strike the dreads and/or the bonebreaka filled with MANz, da jump 1 unit of boyz, and foot slog the other 2 units along with ghaz, painboy, and MA big mek. I gave the vehicles defensive kustom jobs so that they can survive a missed charge and get into CC where they thrive. Meanwhile, kommandos hop in and tag objectives as needed.

Back bone of the list is good, issue is you don't have firepower at all and embarked meganobz in a deepstriking bonebreaka won't fight until turn 3. Putting a bonebreaka and 2 dread in tellyporta is a huge investments in CPs while they'd be dead turn 1 if they don't deep strike.

I'd cut the bonebreaka and the dreads, meganobz can deep strike without the transport, add a painboy and some shooty units with the spared points like mek gunz and/or tankbustas (which can outflank for just 1 CP if they are up to 10+4 bomb squigs).

If you really want the dreads I'd suggest cutting the bonebreaka, then hide the meganobz out of line of sight, jump the meganobz with the weirdboy and deep strike the dreads using Tellyporta.

Lone expensive vehicle like a bonebreaka is dead turn 1 even with 5++ if it's the only target for enemy anti tank.
