Subject: Has anyone tried Rosemary & Cos new "Red Dot" Synthetic brushes?
We dont nee to rehash the whole natural/synthetic debate here, just wondering if anyone has tried these yet. They are making some pretty lofty claims about them being the closest thing to Sable to date.

I might have to have a look. I've got some Series 33, and just got a few W&N Series 7 brushes for Christmas, and I could do with something less good for base-coating, washing etc...

First I've heard of these. The paintbrush company that finally solves the hooking issue with synthetics is going to make an absolute killing, but I doubt these do otherwise it'd be far more prominently marketed as such.
Not sure where they're going with these. People who like synthetics usually expect them to behave with the characteristic snappiness they have. Making them more like sable without fixing the hooking problem just seems like the worst of both worlds TBH.

I've not got any of the red dot synthetics but i did throw one of their red sable/ synthetic blend brushes into my last order to reach the minimum order amount and was pleasantly surprised. Crispy if you are looking for a cheaper option for general basecoating etc these might be a decent option (Series 401).
