Been out the loop quite a while with miniature painting and doing mostly military modeling for the last year or two. Finally stopped procrastinating and settled on World Eaters scheme for figures I’ve had sitting around for rather too long. Mostly base coated with airbrushed Mr Color paints, then detail with Vallejo acrylics. Sponge chipping and washes for the weathering on the Dreads.

Cheers!

Here’s a few more I did. When I couldn’t make up my mind on a chapter I started Ultramarines, then I spayed them too dark and didn’t like it much. I stripped them off by putting into MrColor tool cleaner and the paint just dissolved away but it then attacked the model somewhat. Anyway, repainted with MrColor White and Vallejo for all details. Basing is done with the Vallejo Ground Texture ‘Rough White Pumice’.

I’m finding all the rivets a bit tedious but I do like them overall even if not so neat.

Great army. The chipping on the dreads and black-lining in the troops is superb.

Some more World Eaters next on the pile. But I’ve been doing Gloomhaven minis for our group and also settled on a duck egg green (Mr Color 26) scheme for my Mechanicum allies to the Marines.
