Could someone please list the HH books that Magnus, his Thousand Sons, and Prospero are in and the order that they should be read?

Thank you! Much appreciated!

Thousand Sons.
Prosperous Burns.

They are the best place to start. In the order they came out.
After that I’d have to have a think. I’m sure someone else would have more to add.

Slaves to Darkness at the end.

Danny76 has it right. The only thing I'll note is that I'm *pretty sure* that either the Magnus collection or the Ahriman collection contain at least the Thousand Sons story plus others of interest. So those probably get you more bang for your buck assuming you intend to read most/all of the 1k sons stories.

My suggested reading list is probably something like this:

1. Thousand Sons (might be included in Ahriman: the Omnibus)
2.The Crimson King (also might be included in the Ahriman Omnibus)
3. Ahriman: the Omnibus

And optionally, you might try:
* Prospero Burns - occurs between 1 and 2. Gives very little screentime to the Thousand Sons themselves, but it gives more context to t he tragedy of Prospero.

* War for the Fang (or was it Battle for the Fang?) - Big fight between the space puppies and the 1k sons on Fenris. Explains why the wolves don't really do successor chapters and features Magnus a bit.

* The third(?) book in the HH series that focuses on Horus. Magnus shows up in spirit form and tries to discourage Horus from falling to the dark side.

* Either the 2nd or 3rd White Scars novel ("Path of Heaven" I think?) has the Khan go to Prospero after it has been burned. Not a ton of Thousand Sons content, but we do get to see a bit of just how bad the burning was and some of Magnus's state of mind at that point in time. Probably the least critical item on this list for purely Thousand Sons-focused content.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Magnus features briefly in the second HH book, Fals Gods. I wouldn't say it's worth the read though purely for Magnus. He only features in the story very briefly and in my opinion wasn't very well portrayed.

Thousand Sons is a very nice book that basically has everything you ask for. Also, I really liked the story. It had a great sense of tragedy to it. I only followed it up with Prospero Burns, which I didn't like nearly as much. Still might be worth the read though, but just keep in mind that it is first and foremost a Space Wolves book. Haven't read any other books where Magnus has any sort of mention worthy role, so can't help you further.

I love the Thousand Sons, and their books are what really got me into 40k.

I read Crimson King first without knowing much besides the fall of Prospero, and it was probably one of the best books I've ever read. The audiobook is so good as well.

As for the Ahriman Omnibus, that's a fantastic set and I am in love with it, but it's just books about Ahriman post HH, so there won't be much Magnus in it besides some flashbacks iirc.

Largely, broadly true. Though it could be argued there's multiple Magnuses in it, but some or all are metaphorical, or at least at some level 'not real.' It gets a bit weird and timey-whimey when it comes to Magnus.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.
