Hi All

New to painting minis and i sort of had my hand forced to do it. Over Christmas my internet went down for a week and i was pulling my hair out for something to do. Thought i would give mini painting a go and its getting a bit out of hand spend wise haha but i find it very theraputic.

purchased some basic tools, a pack of synthetic brushes, primer & paints etc and a Space Wolves Iron Priest to paint. it was the coolest one i found that amazon could get it to me before christmas.

it turned into a bit of a disaster painting wise as it was all a bit of a rush, but un-deterred, i purchased the Space Wolves combat Patrol box, 17 minis for me to get stuck in to and practice with. i got some more suitable coloured paints, better Winsor & Newton brushes and a wet palette.

I'm about 6 minis into my combat patrol box and each one is getting better with each try, My brush control is getting better and I'm learning about better paint consistency via thinning. the Magnifying LED headband i ordered is also helping me a great deal.

Have also purchased Ragnar Blackmane & Ulrik the Slayer which i plan to start when I've had good practice on the others.

i seem to being going space wolves but have no intention to play the game.

sorry for waffling

Keep it up and post pics. Hopefully soon you'll be able to play a game sometime soon.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
