Hello everyone,

I live in East Sussex, England. I'm 27 years old and I started collect WH40K at about 9-10 years old and had no idea what I was doing I got into it via a friend who had collected some Orks, where i lived at the time was fairly remote fishing village called Dungeness and this was pre widespread internet so I just painted how I wanted and never really properly played, My first units were a squad of Chaos Space Marines which were later to be joined by a metal Chaos Lord which was purchased from eBay pre painted this was later combined with all sorts from subsequent birthdays i.e. Abaddon, Typhus, a Land Raider, Land speeders (some bought in error by my parents that didn't know what army I had) etc etc. I went to Canterbury's Games Workshop a couple of times as they ran a children's Sunday group for a couple of hours. Which was quite far from where I lived hence only going a couple of times. It felt like a special thing however I always found the shop staff to be intimidating and felt like we weren't worth their time, or we were the subject of their amusement as our minis were poorly painted and we didn't know the rules very well which led me to dislike the game side of things. Unfortunately I never truly looked after my 40k stuff and going through my teenage years 40k got left behind a little... a lot in fact.

Fast forward to 2016 I came to begin collecting 40k again. Settling on Space Wolves as my army of choice and joining a local wargaming group "Eastbourne Elemental" I drew a lot of enjoyment from playing 40k within this group and everyone was friendly with the vast majority even being helpful. Also after this point there was a new manager at my local GW in Eastbourne, Who I made friends with instantly (he also played SW and had played rugby like I did at the time) which made me begin to get more involved in 40k although I also got a new job during this time and lost interest again in 40k just at the start of 8th edition and subsequently lost contact and during this time he had moved to Australia (I'm hoping he is doing well as I've completely lost contact now because he moved to Australia to live with a woman he had met that came from there, and during a period of me being rather inactive on Facebook has seemingly deleted his account :( id like to get in contact as he was one of those rare people you meet where things are very rarely awkward anyway I digress ).

Fast forward again to today and I'm looking at starting 9th edition, I have most of the remainders of my Space Wolves bar the troops and I'm looking at bolstering the ranks slowly (due to my painting speed). I am currently working on some Primaris Intercessors (shivers) and have some wolfen currently in the box itching to be unleashed. And in the far Future I look to maybe some Thousand Sons.

I've already met a couple of helpful members in the forums and I look forward to meeting more, Live long and Prospero... Or something like that.

I can take pictures if anyone would like to see some of my units.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
