Similar play style to your standard silver tide but with the added bonus of the immortals range, which is really gonna help keep stuff at arms length in a DG/Deathwing termies meta.

I've always wanted to run Anrakyr but he's never felt right in a warriors spam list. Between the Novokh strat and his 1+ attack aura, you can get the 10 man immortals up to 40 attacks, while being far more likely to have all of them swing. Anrakyr's baked in WL trait is re-roll charges too which doesn't hurt and can be unlocked if he's not your warlord via the strat.

In terms of secondaries I'd generally pick Code of Combat, while the other two stay fairly match dependent.- the flayed ones being primarily a utility pick to help with scramblers.

I really feel like stock in immortals is rising, especially with people teching for the warrior bricks more and more, but I'd love to hear what you guys think

I like it, looks pretty solid! Anrakyr is a good HQ for offensive utility, but one of the defining features of Silver Tide is its resilience. If I were you, I'd replace him with a second Chronomancer and use the points saved to flesh out the Scarabs to 2x5. This means you can buff the Warrior blob and one unit of Scarabs with a 5++.

Flayed Ones are outclassed by Cryptothralls in reserves for the purposes of Deploy Scramblers (smaller footprint so easier to slot 9" away and cost 25pts less). Drop the Flayed Ones, and after removing Anrakyr you should have enough points left over for 2x2 Cryptothralls. This takes out a lot of the pregame hassle of choosing secondaries with 2/3 confirmed (Code, Scramblers).

Finally, you're better off combining the 2x5 Lychguard for 1x10 so you can do a solid counter-charge against your blobs and each strat you apply on them has more value (Disruption Fields, Blood Rites).

Some food for thought, good luck with the list

I think you should consider telsa on at least one units of your immortals.

With silent kind and reroll all hits. You get well over 20 hits on average (25/26 average). Gauss averages 8 hits. So you will do about twice the damage at long range. Not to mention the reroll all hits encourages you to advance (cause it gives you more chances at 6's) plus you have a unique stratagem for tesla as well.

Keep in mind - I would only ever consider it with silent king.

Just an example of how I would do it.

Silent king

Cronmancers - Entropic lance - Veil of darkness
Thecnomancer - Voltaic Staff

10 Immortals Gauss
10 Immortals Gauss
10 Immortals Telsa
20 Warriors

9 Deathmarks
9 Deathmarks

5x Scarab

1 LHD
1 LHD
1 LHD

Those Deathmarks kill a character a turn pretty consistently with SK.

Plus you can use them To get line breaker or EOAF

LHD keep fire off the silent king.

Thanks for the input guys! Some interesting suggestions.

I think telsa could be alright, you're likely to get a lot of hits as you suggest, but IMO the list already has plenty of horde killing potential and at 19ppm with no AP I feel like I'm paying more for a unit that basically has the same role.

If I were to cut Anrakyr as well then I definitely wouldn't run as many immortals. As far as I can see, he's the only way to boost the damage output of the immortals in CC to the same level as a 20 man brick of warriors. He's certainly a lynchpin for the immortals run as Novokh at least.

Man if you'd asked me a week ago too then I would have agreed that running the Lychguard as a unit of 10 was for sure the way to go, but I recently played a game against Goffs Boyz spam, and having 2 units of 5 definitely helped me win the game.

One of the biggest swings was having a unit tag 30 boyz, kill 13 of them, then survive 90 attacks back after my opponent fought twice! Obviously that's not gonna happen every time, but it freed up the other unit of 5 to help clear a mid board objective and get me a 15 point turn on primary. I ended up winning the game by 4 points and if I hadn't have had as many units as I did that would never have happened!

Either way, thanks to TTS I can try out all your suggestions totally free! I'll let you guys know how I get on

Thanks again!

HAHA but if you had one unit of tesla - you coulda just killed 20 boys with a single immortal unit shooting and bounce some mortal wounds to any unit near them

Yeah I hear you man, definitely gonna give it a go. Cool list with the deathmarks by the way! We're slowly shifting more towards hero hammer again, so they're something I've definitely wanted to try out; especially against marines where all their characters are like 5-8 wounds or whatever
