Ehhhh. At this point, with the official app having the points costs and cards themselves... I am not too phased by this.
I csn play the crap out of a list using official means before deciding what titles interest me. And the titles all remove an ability to add an ability, so it isn't like they are flat out buffs compared to the titles of the previous edition that were hidden in ultra expensive boxes (TIE Advanced I am looking at you).

Agreed. I don't think these are remotely similar to the 1st edition title fix cards. Those cards were literally rebalancing ships that were bad because costs were fixed on the cards themselves. these new cards are much more about varying the role of a ship. They all replace the basic ability and all seem to have the Standardized keyword so you have to add them to all ships of the same type. I think this is just expanding options rather than fixing bad ships. I'm not convinced the Tie Elite config is better than the basic Defender ability, for example.
Also, after a leak from the German publisher Vader is confirmed as being able to fly the Defender in the Imperial squadron pack. Different ability, though. Otherwise he'd be absolutely insane.

Executing Exarch

Fingers crossed the cardboard and wotnot becomes available separately, then again Ahsoka with more or less her 1.0 ability and a go faster B-Wing is tempting
Also turning Vader into the Tedious Laser Turret of 2.0 seems 'fun'

Rough Rider with Boomstick

Those are some pretty wild looking paint jobs on those models.
I'll probably pick them up just for that.
But... I still want a TIE Phantom and a K-Wing! Put those back into production...

You say Fiery Crash! I say Dynamic Entry!
*Increases Game Point Limit by 100*: Tau get two Crisis Suits and a Firewarrior. Imperial Guard get two infantry companies, artillery support, and APCs. |
