Hi all,

This is my first post and i hope i don't make too many mistakes. I am looking for advice to compete against necrons.

I am playing a grow campaign with one of my regular players to have fun and to force us to keep painting. He plays Necrons and I play Dark angels. I got whooped in the first 500 point battles by either being tabled or outscored by 50 points. This is why i would like some help with the 1000 point battles to have a more close fight. I don't mind losing if it was a fun game but I did noy enjoy the last couple of games by the huge margin of loss (and abysmall rolling on my part).

His list will probalby include warriors, tesla immortals and an hq with veil of darkness and skorpekh dystroyers. We will play the incursion battles from matched play in the regular 9th rulebook.

My plan was to drop 2 termi squads via deepstrike on different objectives and advance the rest down the middle of the board to be under azrael's bubble. While trying to focus down on individual squads to try to completely wipe them to prevent reanimation.

I also have a deathwing command squad some greenwing and ravenwing oldmarines and the sneaky marines from the shadowspear box available.

This is a list I’ve been working on it makes a few changes but the HQ choices may be better for the re roll of 1’s and still have the retool all for 1 unit also using the strike master to refill wounds. It also adds an apothecary for the get back into the fight heals he can do while upgraded. It’s an alpha strike list for sure and you lose the idea of having a 4+ save with Azrael. Also the grab flux is probably better in the long run for facing necrons it’s a higher AP and DMG weapon with blast so that’s 12 shots always going into those blobs of warriors and immortals!
