I thought there might be some interest in this -
Blood Red Skies, Warlord's game of WW2 and Korean War dog-fighting, is getting adapted to the video game format. Diecast Digital, the developer, has a kickstarter that just went live for it here -

The starting focus is Asia and the Pacific, with four different American planes (Wildcat, Hellcat, Dauntless, and Warhawk) matching up against four different Japanese planes (Zero, Kate, Jack, and Oscar). Other theaters are planned, and the first stretch goal (the only one announced so far) is the Battle of Britain, featuring the planes that came in the original table-top starter box.
This is a direct conversion of the table-top game to the computer. So far as I'm aware, there are no plans to change things up, and the short gameplay segment included in the introduction video shows elements straight out of the table-top game (the sole exception I noticed being that the aircraft stands change heights instead of tipping to show advantage and disadvantage). While I know that reactions to the table-top game have been mixed on this forum, there has been some interest in it. So I figured it was worth flagging here.
The pledge for the basic game is 25£ (which is about $36 for an American like myself).
At least one of the co-founders of Diecast Digital has apparently been in the business for a while. One of the co-founders was apparently a lead at Particle Systems, which developed the excellent Independence War games. However, that was quite a while ago. The list of games that one or the other co-founder has worked on includes the much more recent Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command game, which I've heard has gotten a rather poor reception. But, I was unable to determine how they might be connected to that (it didn't help that the website for the developer of that game seems to be missing). In any case, it appears that they should have the technical ability to make this game work on delivery.
On a side note, the initial focus on Asia and the Pacific for this game matches what Warlord is doing right now. The Blood Red Skies Battle of Britain starter box is currently out of stock, and my understanding is that it's been retired in favor of an upcoming (delayed due to SARS2) starter that will focus on the Battle of Midway, with Wildcats and Zeros.
