So having started the long painful adventures of 3D printing and started making use of the subsection on the forums already I wonder if I might beg the addition of a second 3D printing related subsection for the display of cast models - success and failures.
Whilst we can use the general 3d printing section or even the modelling subsection to show these things, I don't think either is perfectly suited. The modelling subsection is more traditional focused and not an area many expect to talk about supports or resin curing or such. Meanwhile the 3D printing section is only 1 subsection and I think choking it with models alongside general questions and chatter might overwhelm it too fast.
I also think having the section would, like the 3D printing section on its own, encourage more to share their success photos and such with others. It also gives an area where critique or feedback is more focused and aware of the resin printing aspects. Ergo people are more apt to think about commenting on the nature and quality of fine details or the presence/absence of support holes or marks etc..
This best way to deal with this, at this stage, might be a “be the change” approach where users voluntary tag their post titles with something like [Results].
