With the rise of 3d printing and sites like warmaster revolution, is there interest for a revival of warmaster?

There is one Patreon specializing in Warmaster resculpts with 677 backers and I bet half of those are actually doing Kings of War in 10mm so prooobably not a huge market.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Just yesterday I bought all the Shadow Elf designs Moonjam has done (on Gumroad), actually...

I purchased some Cromarty dwarves.

(And whoever said your minis have to be used for only one set of rules. I've always bought with an eye for using models in multiple formats. Perhaps one weeek I want to use AoS rules, the next week I used those same minis for some KoW action and the week letter make use of the Saga Age of Magic rules.)

That said, I am cautiously optimistic about a revival for large scale battles with smaller minis (faster to point, looks crazy fun to move masses of troops, feels like total war on the tabletop, etc...)

Indeed... as long as I have them, life will find a way

Mainly, some digital miniatures Patreons have started pumping out very good 10mm, regiments-on-strips miniatures.

...yeah, so. As I said, I bought Moonjammy's very excellent Dark Elves, so I printed "some" over the weekend. Black and translucent resin don't really photograph well, so I primed some:

(...yeah, black primer kind of have a similar problem xD)

I also test painted a spearmen strip to see it a bit better:

As you can see, detail is great, at least as good as the original metal ones:

I also found at home three old orc army blisters, and let me tell you, they are magnificent:

Side by side comparison:

Anyways... I printed "some" ^^

Lovely stuff. I think we're gonna get into that, either Kings of War 10mm or straight up Warmaster (...Remastered?)

I mean the opportunity cost is just so low. A couple 90 minute or so print runs and done.

More like 3 to 5 hour-prints (cavalry is higher after all ^^) printing at 0.02mm per layer, but same difference ^^

Also, why not both KoW 10mm and Warmaster? I mean, it's not like there's much of a problem there

Took the time to test paint some stuff other than the lancers, and I'm really impressed with the level of detail:
