For my small little (as of now) daemoncult conversion project i need to get a better grasp of understanding the size of aberrants.

Basically i ask dakka for some pictures of aberrants compared to other units

They are pretty small, actually, even compared to other GSC minis!
Took a snapshot with some Chaos minis from Blackstone Fortress:


Here's the same guy with some other Overkill minis:


Don't know if the ones from the proper kit are larger, but I guess not? They're all on 32mm bases, anyways.

Do it! I was well into converting goliaths from necromunda into abberants. It was quite good, and then I got offisial models and they became quite bad around the same time. I never finished.

considering i already turned neophytes with bloodletter bits into possessed (acolythes, ) i'd say the bulky bloodreavers would probably make quite good abberants count as

Now i need to make picks Also one box = 20 aberrants if that works out so that is a massive ammount of potential.

Back when I first bought Overkill, that was the only way to get aberrants for a long time, so I picked myself up a small 5 man kit of bloodreavers and kitbashed them with acolyte heads, and thunder hammers and Ravenwing knight picks (shaving off the imperial iconography, of course).

They work perfectly size-wise, and even look a bit more intimidating than the regular aberrants!

Well i guess i will buy another box of Bloodletters for heads and horns then

The nice thing with goliats is that they are bulky and come with a lot of parts I found easy to makeshift into hammers.

If you want just cheap models I could recomend the ghouls from the ghoul kings. I saw one army of GSC that ran a lot of vehicles. A whole lot of ghouls had been converted into mad max like acolytes. It looked awsome, like fury road.

Well, ordered a box of reavers and bloodletters, greenstuff i have.
And i think i will raid other stuff to get other things to represent picks.
