I need to edit, yes. A quick proofread pointed out some grammar and context mistakes. But heres everything sofar:
•Wardens of the Faxith System and a sparse region north of the Khymaran drift called the Whispering Drift, a region haunted by a ghostly whispering in the warp rumored to drive susceptible astropaths mad, create Void Born children with no souls and strip the warmth from men's hearts.
Dimly lit charnal worlds in the Middle Strand process Corpse Starch rations, filling the cargo holds of the Orders Black Mercy fleet (Preceptory 11 and 12 accompanying a crew of 30,000 or so) with enough food to feed most of the poor population of Faxith for 3 years. The general whereabouts of these worlds are said to be two collapsing hive worlds abandoned to decay and expunged from Imperial records, its population assumed subject to some grim penitence for the sins of <CENSORED: REQUIRES CLEARANCE: Adepta Sororitas Rose Black 7-6-7-6-97R>
Many novitiates are taken in from Ganger communities in the mining depots underbellies at the ages of 7 or 8 and broken down without reserve by the recruitment process, subject to desensitization purges severing emotional ties to their commune and instilling cold blooded apathy, while drug induced visions and the monotonous, sedating drone of vox casters invoking ancient Imperial Scripture numb them to that which would threaten their loyalty to the Order and the Golden Throne.
The brutality of their Combat Doctrine training and forced brainwashing procedures ensures reliable recruits unbreakable in discipline and unflinching stoicism.
Saint Tristitia was dubbed a sinner for renouncing her human-based nutrient meals and attempting to starve herself to death rather than sustaining herself and fulfilling her religious observance. As the days past her protest was rooted out, the mobs of miners who flocked to her for justice were put down like animals without afterthought. Mind and body ravaged by hunger, she was taken away to be bound within the claustrophobic madness of a Penitent Engine's Sarcophagus, her entire 3rd preceptory subject to service in the Repentia. Ultimately doctrine was employed to make the preceptory the main source of Repentia squads as Sisters Repentia excelled enough to become Sisters Superia and designated one of their own number a Palatine as the Orders Master of close quarters combat instructors.
Dogma, Rituals, Beliefs and Doctrine
Sisters of the Order hate psykers and mutants like any loyalists but they have a particular scorn for their own subjects in the system and see everyone as potentially tainted because of the Whispering . The "desensitization purges" are initiations where mutated communities and generally undesirable people are slowly forced into defenses against the Sororitas Mission who pretend to be slow and oblivious to get the population over confident. They are compelled to lose their attachments to poor hovels they grew up in and use their childhood clan as target practice. And if they don't? The Order maintains many measures to punish those initiates who show the most dangerous and detestable weaknesses. Likeways, many lesser punishments exist. The only forgiven sin in a Desensitization Purge is failure to kill relatives if they still exist within the community. In such instances another sister will kill the target instead, and the orphan will be consoled by her Superia, followed by intense training sessions and meditations designed to distract the Sister from her guilty while she is reminded of the purpose she serves the Imperium at large.
Desensitization purges are rare but often used to bring out monstrous stoic apathy in candidates deemed potentially viable for future leadership. The Promethium Vigils appraises traits of ruthlessness and the ability to butcher without warmth or pity.
Scripture
It is unknown if the Order believes in the entire book of The Faxith Canon as this was established under the Inquisitor who started the Order. It contains his superstitious beliefs, warnings against technology and heresy, and an entire quarter of the book dedicated to condemning Psykers and Mutants, dehumanizing the aberrant and exalting the uncorrupted human form. It is littered with autopsy reports, incident briefings and allegedly real claims of witnessed acts of blasphemy to dehumanize and demean all who stray from the purity of the human form. For the most part however it reads like a heated rant against the authorship enemies, blaming various things within the Imperium for rotting the roots from which mankinds tree has sprung.
The smaller text, written by the original Canoness of Promethium Vigil, 'the Virtue of Severity' is required reading for each Sister to understand that the Promethium Vigil are wardens, almost running a system-sized prison whose job is to produce resources for the Imperium. It teaches that no living persons well being can replace the necessity of enforcing the production quota of an entire colony and that the Sins of the population can only be redeemed when every worthwhile promethium reservoire in the system is tapped- an end which may never be achieved for thousands of years or more. It is said in Proverb 47 "When the hearts of the worlds of Faxith are torn out and every last drop of its vital essence squeezed dry, only than shall your ancestors sins which destroyed your world be forgiven. Only than shall your bondage here break under the liberating gaze of the God Emperor of Mankind's forgiveness, and even in death we watch your deeds. It is unknown what sins bind the inhabitants of Faxith, and the entire system seems to have been memory wiped in order to protect their souls from the Heresy of Knowing.
•Gas Giants
•Rich in Prometheum
•Ruled by militant Oligarchs
•High Population of void born on massive orbital mining depots
•Adorned in the orbits of its dim, binary star lit gas planets are a myriad small rocky worlds
And densely populated stations harboring many generations of void born miners, descendants of a mass migration in millennia past which saw the twin moons of Faxith II and III torn open, its valuable upper mantle of ancient organic promethium resources all but harvested. With its riches diminished, forced to eek out an existence under the myriad oligarchies and militant warlords who perpetually oppress the population, preventing even the richest from leaving.
In the dawn of the 39th millenium the system was torn apart by a civil war during a food shortage triggered by the loss of a nearby Agri-World whose name seems expunged from any and all current Imperial Records. The eccliesiarchy during this time didn't want to chance famine or uprising in a system whose prometheum-rich reservoirs formed the mechanical backbone of so many worlds in the vicinity of the maelstrom's southwestern quadrant. To maintain order and purge mutation within the rapidly declining governence of Faxith's destitute moons, an Inquisitorial retinue employed with several companies of Adepta Sororitas from the Orders <EXPUNGED>.
The emergence of the Great Rift coincided with the later days of the Faxith Reclamation, culminating in a final sweep of the system to exterminate a gene stealer cult in the filthy underbelly of Faxith II's Munitorium Sector 27. The work of the Sororitas to rebuild the system and strengthen Imperial piety succeeded with forced laborcamps and massacres of huge swathes of the working population. The Adepta Sororitas were detached from the assembly of the secretive Inquisitor <EXPUNGED> who preferred never to travel with the same force twice, always keeping his hand hidden from his enemies. He established the Ring of Prometheum Glory, a fortress Monastery circling Craterbastion, the largest prometheum mine still abundant in the resource on both of Faxith's sundered moons. This would become the stronghold of the Order of the Prometheum Vigil and the training ground of all initiates joining the order. The Ring protects the ancient forges wherein mechanicus adepts quietly construct a small but steady supply of titan parts and tanks.
The Whispering Drift
The Banshee Triad
•Triad of three sickly greenish stars in the stellar graveyard void beyond the middle strand.
•Cursed by the horrific rituals of a Word Bearers Warband. They failed in making the stars themselves nightmare worlds within the Warp but their acts left an accursed stain in the veil beyond the materium, creating the whispering din that's driven millions to heights of madness and blasphemy.
The closer one is to the Triad, the whispering begins to ascend to a cacophonous howl, dangerous to listen to and costing even the most stalwart their souls.
•Saint Tristitia was deceived by the whispering into believing the Emperor's voice spoke to her through the Whispering. The Palatine and her Preceptory of 100 Battle Sisters blasphemed the order and the Ecclesiarchie by defiantly denouncing the systems dependence on corps starch and fasting herself, against the will of the Canoness and ultimately ending in a futile surrender. For her contemptible actions and the shame brought to the Order by her Sinful Innocence she was locked away deep in the confines of a Penitent Engine, her crimes of compassion and unwillingness to abide by necessary evils marking her down as a detestable weakling in the annals of Order history.
Astropaths of House Tursher
•Astropaths of House Tursher are housed within the confines of Watchtower Asylum, observed closely lest the Whispering drive them to madness. The Watchtower is a mass monolithic structure within the Ring, covered in consecrated torches which nullify the whispering and burn away the ghosts and specters said to ride upon the talking winds wthat bleed forth from the Banshee Triad. House Tursher Astropaths have also come from the slowly dying hives of <EXPUNGED>. They are kept isolated, bound to oaths of silence and secrecy enforced by the Canoness and a few other Sisters.
"a bunch of pallid skinned dusky eyed battle sisters with eyes echoing that of their abysmally void and sparsely colonized subsector . A population subsisting on chems and algae, recycled air and soulless corpse starch wafers. The occasional biosynthetics resemble a hollow shell of true sustenance. One wonders what voidborn genetics birth the robust but lean and gaunt figures of the Promethium Vigils vast overwatch, their bullying swagger akin to the tyrannical chest puffing of Arbites watchmen."
M42 Argovon Crusade Chronicles Liber III Sororitas, by Inquisitor Abel Carthage
Sister Superia Malicroixa Agathene, Complex 021N quote:
"The Impurities of those who deviate are as an abomination of stardust that creates sickly stars of poisonous light. As your sin of taint is expunged only in your deaths, may your filthy light of distorted failure be encompassed with jovial psalms of your peoples accursed and forgotten fable. Save yourself the deprecating pity and understand we too serve in bondage to penitent contempt: Our punishment the overwatch of your detestable progeny forevermore."
---------------------------
I'm just not sure where to go from here. They're an isolated, mostly void-born line of Sisters mostly out of the loop, speaking in a dialect penned a millenia ago. They're strongly industry based and i haven't found ways to expand their cultic religious aspects. I've wanted to expand on the corpse starch premise, like the militaristic Meals on Wheels of Soylent Green but I ran dry with of beefy ideas to further the theme.
They seem fit for radicalist ideals given their isolated demeanor and the fact that they're based off of an Inquisitor saving a portion of a doomed world rather than initiating an exterminatus decree on the entire world.
