After playing a good bit of Dawn of War lately to pass some time on my PC, backed up by my daughters being very interested in getting to color their own armies. I am debating getting back into 40k after a few years off and having sold all my stuff. Some quick digging through podcasts/youtube/ and lists here has me looking at an old favorite of mine in Deathwing. I would be making this list to be decently competitive in case I hit up the local game shops but also making it someone simple as a base for my two girls to play against with what can only assume to be random assorted pieces they want to paint counting as an army. I don't have the Codex yet and have mainly sorted out the framework for this while playing around on Battlescribe. If I left someone key out let me know. I am looking to build a list I have toyed with in the past as part of its theme, being based as an army of Deathwing but with lots of detail from Chaos Terminators as the list would be for members of the Fallen that truly belonged to the Order, the knights that existed on Caliban before the Space Marine Legion came there.

My plan would probably revolve around Combat Squading the two large squads into shooting halve and cc halves. Use some combo of those CC halves and the Knights along with the HQ's and Command squad members to attack while the shooting halves, the Relic unit and the Dred are able to claim objectives near my starting areas and put down some good cover fire.

Comments and wild ideas always welcome. Or of your trying to support my wife, work on talking me out of this crazy idea....

I didn't hear any responses and was playing around with more options, traded in the 2 dreds for 1 relic contemptor version and added a couple bodies to the Knights unit. Also added some toys for the Captain. Still show 6 points to play around with and keep it under 2k.

Why the lightning claws on the cml termies? I'm personally a fan of combat squading them, having a dakka squad and a melee squad. if you have five with 2 cmls and 5 storm bolters, you have a ton of dakka in what is basically a terminator devastator squad, and holds the backfield very well

Left the Claws on the CML termies to save the 5 points it would have been to give them a storm bolter as well. I didn't have 20 free points to give all 4 of them the SB/PF combo back so just left it with claws. If I find a good way to get those points squeezed it I would get the storm bolters back on them.
