Looking at weapons and attacks alone, which is the better troop choice?

Savage orruks with choppa
1 inch range, 2 attacks, 4+ to hit 3+ to wound.

Savage orruks with spear
2 inch range, 2 attacks, 4+ to hit 4+ to wound.

Savage orruk mor boyz
1 inch range, 3 attacks, 4+ to hit 3+ to wound.

any thoughts?
Thanks!

If the unit is 20+ models: spears
If the unit is 10 and you are running Bonesplittas allegiance: morboys
If the unit is 10 and you are using Great Waaagh! allegiance: choppa

thanks ninth!
i suppose spears really dont help until you get a pretty big unit right, otherwise the boys can just reach on their own

out of curiosity i was wondering why allegiances come in to play?

why would regular boys with choppa ever be better than morboys?

if the allegiance question is obvious i apologize. ill be the first to admit that i am not the best at recognizing synergies, i tend to take things at face value.

Morboys are battleline with bonesplittas allegiance but not with great Waaagh! allegiance, and I assumed "troop" was being used interchangeably with "battleline" due to the equivalent in 40k.

Also note that regular boys get a 5+ save in melee, morboys don't.

I'd say in most cases it's savage orruks with spears and shields, mainly because you have a combo of stacking their save with +1 from the Wardokk prayer and +1 from one of the Bonesplitter spells. So you have a 3+ save in total for CC after factoring their shields for that block of savage orruks and if you manage to cast mystic shield on top of it, you reroll failed save rolls of 1 as well, making them really tanky with that 6+ FNP.
