Watched it again last night, and with some VERY slight modifications, this is basically a movie about Catachan. The Na'Avi might as well be Tyranid bioforms, they all worship and work at the directive of a amorphous intelligence that is bio-organic. They take over the minds of everything with their weird tentacle hair things.

Only thing I would change is the Corporation needs to be Ad-mech.....

I would have thought predator is a closer fit. Catachan jungle fighters seem molded on that movie.

Well, more accurately they're {Hollywood} US forces in Vietnam with doses of of Rambo & Predator thrown in on top.....
I mean, they've even got Rambo himself in the force - who do you think "Sly Marbo" is?
