I saw this great tutorial on YouTube for painting marble-like effect on bases:
I’m working on duplicating the effect but I’m stuck on the baby wipe step. The creator is located in the UK and uses Tesco brand baby wipes. Once they dry he stretched them out and uses them to create the Marble veins. I’ve included a screenshot from the video of one stretched out and taped in place.
I’ve purchased a couple of brands in the US and have not yet found one that stretches like this. Does anyone know of a product available in the US that stretches like this?
I realized that my airbrush cleaning wipes are the same consistency as the baby wipes used in the video. So I’ve had a go with an already used airbrush wipe. They’re a bit expensive to use by I have a few dried out ones that I can try in order to get the technique right (or at least not terrible).
I’m definitely also going to try the spider web stuff! I have some in the attic from last Halloween so that will be a perfect test.
Thanks again! Once I get some tests done I’ll post the pics here.
Lol. We have a chonk that used to have issues cleaning herself (she was naturally too round when she was younger) that we bought the wipes for. And sometimes when one of them freaks out at their dingleberry we need to extract for them.
