The Beastrider Wars is a new, simple free ruleset from Dead Earth Games which allows you to fight fantasy skirmish battles with units of bear and stagriders.

Are the figures swappable - i.e., can I have lady bear riders and manly stag riders?

Also, doesn't seem to be a (working) link to where you can get the rules/files?

There is a female bear riders included, just not pictured. I doubt the figures will be full interchangeable as the bears are wider than the stags, though it's possible they could be kitbashed. To be honest I've just never tried because it doesn't fit my lore!

Will there be more animal riders (and races) available (now or in the future)? Wolves, Giant Badgers, Giant Goats, Elephants, Rhinos, Lizards, Crocodiles and Centaurs (horse, deer, bear, wolf) ? Those would all be riders I’d had fun building forces with

That would be entirely dependent on the success of these!
We have concept art for crow and falcon riders and tiger riders all ready to go.
