7 Ork facts people always get wrong: Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other. A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot. Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests. Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books. Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor. Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers. Orks do not have the power of believe.
fwiw I dont think degrading profiles are shown on the simplified datasheet. But Morks Roar rapid fire bodes well for an improvmeent of ork shooting weaponry...
You know what'd be neat is if DDD made any Rapid Fire or Pistol weapon become an Assault weapon if you Advance, and all the currently assault shooting weapons became rapid fire.
"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Nope, just the one profile.

All applicable DG models had degrading profiles on their simplified sheet. I'm holding the one for the malignifier in my hands right now.

That would indeed be a cool change, though I will miss hitting someone twice with one rokkit.

Mortarion and triacrch stalker say hi. They had degrading profile on these for sure.

That's such a weird transliteration in the Japanese: Gazugukkaru Zaraga. The Japanese translation of the blurb above the rules is also awkward and unnatural. Are the Japanese translations of GW products all this bad? I've never looked before.

I'm no expert, but I haven't the foggiest how they were translate that normally. So much info can be lost between romantic and altaic languages. His name is straight gibberish to begin with.

Realistically for a unit that can advance and charge. Rapid fire is a bad profile for the shooting weapon. They should have just gave him bs 4+ or made it assault 24 if they wanted to make the weapon better.
If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

12 wounds and no degrading profile? Cool. Does anything else in the game have 10+ wounds and no degrading profile? And why does the supreme representative of Gork and Mork only have L8? I don't think my Warp Talons should be able to use Prey On the Weak on something like Ghaz.

Leadership 8 may have more to do with who or what he is leading, such that a sensible lack of faith in one’s fellow ork may be cunning rather than brutal. Maybe?

His leadership usually is 20+, good luck preying on that.

You had plenty of time to play with him using the Saga rules. It isn't GW's fault covid shut everything down.(assuming you stopped playing due to it)
I am, and I do still think that Saga of the Beast was a waste of cash. Especially since 9th edition was announced maybe two months later.
Tbf, if you've been playing or involved at all with GW's products, you know the shelf life of any book they release is extremely small compared to that of their models. Whether or not you find cheaper ways of acquiring the necessary things or choosing to continue to use older books is entirely up to you. Not saying GW shouldn't embrace a free online living ruleset, but with the way they're using books to push sales atm, I can't see the monetary incentive for them currently to move away from printing books.

I wouldn't say it was a waste of cash. It came with a ton of cool models, and the rules helped both armies. Was it worth full price? meh. I made out fine because I sold off the marine parts.
Either way, I am super pumped for the new Ork codex given how all the other 9th books have been. I also can't wait to play in stores again.
Honestly GW's release schedule has been pretty messed up for a while now. More a covid and Evergreen thing than specifically GWs fault. Hopefully a fair bit from Saga will be ported over to the codex, or otherwise refined. Cause it had some fun stuff in it for sure.
Either way, if that is Ghaz's new sheet I do hope we see more units soon.

9e ed or not new codex would have come out anyway.
Sorry, but nobody could have known that at the time. I certainly didn't, and really wasn't aware up until the last stages of 8th edition that a lot of GW's main games had been on a 3-year new edition cycle. If there's anything it's taught me, it's to never buy GW books unless I'm absolutely guaranteed to play the game, preferably with a painted army. I'm also sitting on some AoS core rules and the Gloomspite battletome, which has never seen play.
Just like charadon is a cash grab now and whatever future Not-supplement wave will be. If people keep buyin GW will keep making.
I bought my PA book for quick reference and only at severe discount when we ordered our PR box set with a mate. Even that felt kind of dirty supporting GW with their dang book.
not even going to do that for the inevitable CWE not-supplement.

How do you get that?
It's trying to "transcribe" Ghazghkull". And it's doing so as Gazu Gu <stop> KaRu. If you're pronouncing Ghazghkull as Gazg <stop> kull, that's traditionally transcribed that way. The same sort of way that Gundam is written "Gandamu"--just because all of the vowels sound alike to English speakers, doesn't mean they do to everyone else.
