Why might you imagine it is easier to criticise Games Workshop here than Frontline Gaming?
I refer to the recent threads shut down (by the same moderator, as it happens) regarding criticism/conversation around
FLG's statment/smear of a former employee. Why might they get better protection than Games Workshop who produce this game and are *roundly* (fairly) criticised for their failures right here, every day, with absolutely no pushback from administration?
Maybe because they advertise here. They partially (largely if the ads I see are indicative) fund this, and as such they have more say in dictating the discourse. Financial pressure applied. And maximised. Against speech that doesn't break any of the established rules, but which, to borrow a term, endangers the bag.
I've linked to Propaganda's Hood Politics podcast before now (in posts sadly and coincidentally deleted) but it's about securing the bag. When the money is paramount, endangering the rep of the organisation, showing weakness, *looking* like you're flawed, that needs shut down. And here, that happens with regard to
FLG, not
GW. Without fail. Because criticism threatens the money.
Follow the money.

Automatically Appended Next Post: One of the touchstones I keep returning to, mentally, right now is the first contact I had with
FLG - a nifty little laser line for my warmachine-ing. It was a neat little product, but they didn't make it, just branded and marketed it. I still use it, it's great, but follow the money. Access to the market, ensure the profit margin... secure the bag. Get banging
