Sorry folks. This may be another easy one but I am getting bogged down again by interpretation and rules from different sources. I know the WS can charge after falling back and I know that they can advance and shoot (i think). But, can they fallback, shoot and then charge again? Or is falling back and shooting something only the boys in blue can do. I have found interpretations supporting both sides but don't have the newest rulebook or the WS codex yet.

Thanks all and apologies if this was a simple one. I did try to find a clear statement but, as I said, an still relying on internet sources perhaps too much.

To my knowledge, WS's lack any abilities or rules that naturally allows fall back > shoot. I can't find any stratagems that allows that either.

Mechanically, neither [charging after falling back] or [advance and shoot via stratagem] =! [unit can shoot after falling back].

The White Scars Chapter Tactic Lightning Assault allows them to declare a charge in a turn they Advanced or Fell Back. The Feinting Withdrawl Stratagem allows a White Scars unit that Fell Back shoot.

Thanks all. I knew it was doable via strats. I did find some who believed that they could fire assault weapons (with a oenalty) after falling back. Its the fact that its an UM chapter trait advantage that made me suspicious enough to investigate. Still, I may have to look at a WS army next. Its them or the BA. I want a melee army and one of them is the.best at it. (A whole separate discussion there maybe? : )
