I’m excited to announce the release of RollHammer: Battle Dice, a dice rolling app that seamlessly replaces physical dice for wargames such as Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar. I designed the app to be flexible; all the complicated dice rolling mechanics have been considered and made easy to accomplish. Whether you are rolling 1 or 100 dice, RollHammer is the fastest way to play while still giving players that awesome tactile feeling - seriously try it out!

Features include:
- FREE for iOS and Android (store links below).
- Easy input for adding any amount of dice to the cup for rolling (no slow keyboard required).
- Roll 1-1000+ dice if you so please.
- Automatically sorts dice into 6 rows (by value).
- Ability to roll dice one at a time or all at once (slow roll and speed roll).
- Re-roll dice of any value with a simple tap or swipe.
- Delete dice of any value with a simple tap or swipe.
- A 'Last Roll' button immediately repopulates dice of any value with a single tap (this makes exploding 6s easy).
- Move dice to a 'Side Pool' to keep track of for later use (Extra AP attacks, Mortal Wounds).
- Manipulate one die at a time by tapping on a dice group (CP re-roll, Deffskullz, Argent Shroud).
- A pleasurable, tactile interface with real dice sound effects.
- Dozens of unique dice themes to personalize your gaming experience.
- Many other great features are on the way.

Interesting.

I've had a fiddle around and it seems simple enough. Definitely very efficient at rolling normal attach sequences.
Exploding dice or enhanced AP/similar seems a bit more complex though. Dragging stuff into the hold box felt like a bit of a palaver and it seemed hard to do anything with the dice once they have been held, other than rolling them again.

For "make an extra attack on 6's", you can actually drag the 6's into the dice cup and then simply tap the "last roll" button to quickly repopulate the 6's. Then you can just roll those extra attacks like normal.

For extra AP on 6's, yes that's what the side pools are for. I think this is a suitable solution, but I do know that some people like to change the color of their dice and roll everything at once. I may consider an update that allows multicolored dicem, but that becomes a bit complicated for UI purposes. I believe the app remains faster despite that difference, but I'm speaking from a seasoned RollHammer user perspective.

Cool app. There are plenty of free dice rollers out there, but it's good to see one built specifically with games like 40k in mind.

One question: is there a way to turn off sounds within the app, without turning off system sounds?

Thanks!

Not in the first version, thanks for the feedback though - I'll add a mute button in the next update which should be very soon.

That's a cool dice roller, I really like it. Might even buy some ork dice for it in the future

One thing though, does have an undo function? While rolling some dice I sometime deleted or moved a stack of dice, I'd love to be able to undo such things.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Clicking on the square box dice pools on the left (that gets filled with dice) when it's empty restores all the dice that were just in there.
I think that's as close as you can get.

Excited to hear you like the iconography on the dice! I put a lot of effort into designing that...

Yes, tapping the "Last Roll" button will repopulate the row with the last roll.

If you get a chance please rate the app, it really helps with discovery.

Gave 5 stars and spread it to my group.
