Good morning/afternoon/evening/whatever time appropriate greeting is applicable. Name's ExtraLexical and I'm getting back into this hobby... sort of. I've got a large collection of Craftworld Eldar (pretty much ALL painted. Shocking, I know), but absolutely no motivation to play them, since I find it difficult to strike a balance between fun-narrative-list and won't-get-dumpstered-immediately with Eldar, especially with their current codex. Well, I sort of can, but my middleground lists tend to lose on objectives, but also not be fun to play against at all, so it's like a perfect storm of awful. Also, while I like my custom Craftworld and all the lore I've made surrounding them and a loosely aligned Corsair fleet, I think I prefer some of my other ideas; however, that said I've long since given up trying to appease the "well, akshually..." lore people, so it's not even because "human lore easier to write than Eldar lore"

However, that begs the question as to what to do first. I've got some Cadian infantry models that I will paint up in Inquisition colours and I've got a subscription to Imperium magazine that will be starting up at the end of this month, but outside of that there are a few other things I want do get. I want to get some GKs to paint up as part of my not-Chaos-renegade SM chapter (TLDR, psychic mutation) that I'll be painting the stuff from Imperium magazine as too. I want to get some Sisters, since I played them in 3rd edition and their new models are really nice. I also want to get some 3rd party minis for my IG since I've spotted some really nice desert-themed ones that I want to use for my main IG force, which will be part of my renegade forces as a mercenary company.

I'm really enjoying narrative play at the moment, though pretty much exclusively on Tabletop Sim because of a certain global event, but also because of my general lack of motivation to play Eldar, which is all I have painted in physical models. As a usual tabletop RPG GM, I've been running one online and honing my own set of houserules for running narrative crusades (like limiting unlimited daemon summoning, but keeping it strong because it's super-narratively cool). Going to start playing at my local game shop now that it's open again, but I want to get myself a non-Craftworld Eldar army painted up first.

So yeah, TLDR... Hi everyone. I'm a nerdy narrative player who has been in this hobby before.
