The Lizardmen were looking for revenge from their last meeting with the Orcs, this time we upped the stakes to 5K.

Da Boyz

Lizardmen

Just going to play Battle Line for this scenario.

Set up.

Left Flank

Lots going on in this one and I forgot to take notes, so I'll just share some highlights.

Ruglud's fails an animosity test and takes two wounds off the nearest Rock Lobber.

Wolf Riders catch Chameleon Skinks hiding in the settlement.

Warboss wipes out the Salamanders and is behind the Lizardmen line.

Mangler Squig stops 1 inch away from a large block of Saurus.

Boys and Giant chipping away at the Temple Guard until the Saurus arrive.

Saurus chop up the Giant and Temple Guard run down Da Boyz.

Orcs rolling the right flank.

Lizardmen taking the left flank.

In the end it was a tie. The Lizardmen were ahead by 21 points, which made my son happy

Looks like a great game

I AM A MARINE PLAYER

"Unimaginably ancient xenos artefact somewhere on the planet, hive fleet poised above our heads, hidden 'stealer broods making an early start....and now a bloody Chaos cult crawling out of the woodwork just in case we were bored. Welcome to my world, Ciaphas."
Inquisitor Amberley Vail, Ordo Xenos

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Great things:

1. 8e mega battles
2. goblin green and flock, it just works
3. horde formation orcs, even elite
4. just right amount of magic
5. 10k painted on the table

Not so great things:

1. No piggies, - bring da bacon.
2. No skink skirmish swarms
3. No goblin block-chaff

The lizard army needed some more skinks, they have some elite but not the volume of nasties the faction can throw out for chump change.
The orc army desperately needed their equivalent, you have wolf darts but what you need is the gobbo counter chaff, blocks of 20 gobbo archers in 5x4. Use them as heavy 'skirmishers'. Full rank bonus, a bit of shooty, more shooty if they are left alone to volley fire, enough numbers to kill a minimum skirmish cav unity or equivalent in melee or ranged, yet cost no more than one. Its a full block unit but if they die da ladz just laff coz dey iz only gobbos.

How did the snake dispensers fare?

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

The swarms themselves did pretty well holding up Ruglud's so the Carnosaur rider could get in. The Bastiladon broke from combat and took a while to rally. He has done better in other games.
