Hi again, Dakkanaughts:

Some months ago I post a list of the models I have of my Imperial Guard army. As per the infantry I decided to return to the light infantry idea as a base of the army. There they go:


Company Commander. (37) Bolter. Warlord, Laurels of command.

Command Squad. (35) Autocannon, regimental standard.


Platoon conmand section:

Lieutenant (27) boltgun.

Command squad (45) plasma gun, radio, platoon standard.

Special weapons squad (49) flamers


Infantry squad (65) heavy bolter.

Infantry squad (65) grenade launcher, radio.

Infantry squad (65) grenade launcher, radio.

Infantry squad (65) autocannon.

Infantry squad (60) plasma gun.

Sentinels Recon Squadron (140) autocannons, missile launcher.

Heavy weapons Squad (50) mortars.
Heavy weapons Squad (95) missile launchers.
Heavy weapons Squad (80) autocannons.

Chimera (90) hb hf dozer blade.
Chimera (90) hb hf dozer blade.

Leman Russ (200) Heavy bolters Exterminator autocannons (but also I have all the other turrets and magneted sponsons).

Pros:

All can be redistributed for good.
Plenty of bodies (and more).
Enough room for vehicles flyers and the like.
Enough room for Imperial allies.
Plenty of command points.

Cons:

Low res (obvious)
Not enough antiarmour heavy firepower (las and melta)
No fisical counter attack.
Higly dependance from allies for that.

I wrote this by hand because battle scribe is like black magic to us in our local meta. I think is enough clear for reading. Sorry for the problems and waiting for your advice.

Also I have to say that the officers are posted as it maybe can be on the next Guard codex. I hope so.

What sort of feedback are you looking for? What are your goals going forward for this army?

Sorry. I dont say this. My question is how expand he army, make it more competitive and which ally is better for it. And if I can ally with another IG regiment.

Probably best to double-check your points, especially with the HWTs. If you're adverse to using Battlescribe in the group, at least use it to get your points right in the listbuilding stage.

You generally need more anti-tank, I'd suggest either swapping out your Flamer SWT to Melta, or going for a Melta CCS.

Is not about being adverse, is we have no idea of how use it.

As for the anti-tank SWT I will do it. Thank you for your advice.

Because Imperial Guard have so much good anti-infantry with lasguns on basic guys, and the first rank fire lasgun order, usually flamers and grenade launchers do more of the same anti-infantry, rather than complementing the lasguns by covering anti-vehicle. I would try to increase the numbers of plasma and melta guns in your list, same with lascannons.

You might want to look at a Manticore. With the Full Payload tank ace trait it does nice work these days and non line of sight can be important. Definitely look for ways to increase use of plasma/melta. They are cheap right now.
Have a look at the hellhound/devildog. I popped out from cover with a dual melta devildog and burned down a Leman Russ recently which surprised the other guy. Hell hound is always fun to push in peoples face and hopefully explode. Look at the option of bringing a malleus inquisitor for Smite and Castigate during the psychic phase. Think about if you want some bullgryns or crusaders as a melee option (or screen with sentinels / chimeras)
