I was browsing around on wahapedia trying to identify different dreadnoughts. Then I looked over at forge world, and then at battlescribe.

I am confused by all the amount of dreadnoughts. Could somebody help me out?

Regular are:
Dreadnought, Venerable Dreadnought.
Invictus warsuit (stealth dreadnought, although not dead yet.) Redemptor dreadnought (presumably with a primaris in it.)
That Iron Clad Dreadnought for Siege fighting.

You have the chapter unique once. Wulfen and blood angels psyker and death company dreadnought. Grey knights have their nemesis warsuit. Both regular and character. Also, some chapters have named dreadnoughts. Like bjørn and murder Fang.

After that I am very confused.

Contemtor dreadnought, witc h is similar to dreadnought but looks different.
Relic contemtor dreadnought, witch is the same dreadnought but with better weapons and from Forge world.
Leviathan dreadnought, who is from Forge world but not as good. Cool model though.

Deredero, from forge world. What is that? Looks like something from Robocop. Confuses me as to what it is and does.

Mortis dreadnought. Only found it in wahapedia. A regular dreadnought with two identical long range weapons? Reminds me of me of my GK twin Autocannon dreadnought in 5th edition. Is it stil around?

Chaplain Dreadnought. From forge world. Character, no longer in production.

Contemtor galactus witch is custodies, comes with a shield.
Telemont that is custodies, and from Forge World.

Am I missing some?

Where can I find the rules for these? And are the models still beeing produced? How come I find them on wahapedia but not on battlescribe? If they are not in my codex presumably they are in a FW book?

Are they legend rules? Is that like a forge world book has rules for regular forge world units. And legend units are not produced but get updated rules? Or do they use the 8th edition index?

Update : Found the mortis one under heavy support.

Thanks. Yeah it is a bit confusing. Probably OK that they are not both stil T8. Durty eternal is good enough. I also see the leviathan comes with an invinerable save.

I already own several dreadnoughts. And got a good price on my 3rd redemptor dreadnought. So I probably don't need to start purchasing FW dreadnought. (After some axe and shield arm purchases I kitbashed up 3 wulfen dreads. And I have the black reach one(that can be a venerable after I modefied it) , Bjørn, and an old regular/venerable one.

I had several back in the day from different armies and projects. Aquiered the redemptor from the GSC kit, bought Bjørn and a second when I started up my wolves again. And as I said got a good price for a 3rd now. I guess I like dreadnoughts...

The barrier of entry on these FW models seem a bit high in price, and confusion. But thanks for clearing it out. Perhaps I can kitbash a chaplain one if I really want to. The skulls, wings and black paint seems to be the most important features.

Thanks all.

I really enjoy all of the forge world options. And I am glad legend units see some love. I am all for it.

However, I do think the fackt that I rattled off some 15 different dreadnoughts is the part that is confusing. And I do not own the forge world book. (I have been burned to many times on those.)
