I picked up Fire Team with a gift card, haven't cracked it open yet.

Does it have any replayability in your eyes for more seasoned gamers?
and does it scratch an itch beyond perhaps showing new players the universe and concept of wargaming?

Haven't tried it out as its sadly not available here in the UK, but it seems good as a lighter version of the current edition of Kill Team.

Also included are rules for other teams, such as purchasing a single pack of Tau Stealth Units, or a pack of Harlequin players. For £45, it looks like an ideal introduction to the world of 40K, without breaking the bank. Even when 40K does move on to new editions, it would still be an ideal item to keep around the club for beginners.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Good points SamusDrake, Thank you for the feedback.

I'll post thoughts once we give it a go.

Game (.co.uk) are selling it via their website, along with the AoS equivalent (Warcry-lite) Bladeborn

I'm intrigued by it, and I've got a copy on the way.

So I can share a thought or two once I get the chance to try it.

Fireteam was the introduction for my dad and brother into miniature gaming. They absolutely love it. My dad helped build the Space Marines, my brother helped build and paint the Tau.

The extra teams all appear to be a single box. For example, the Tau team is the Stealth Battlesuit box and da Orkz iz da Nobz box.

I can see us making the jump to Kill Team down the road.

Fireteam is an absolute blast. I strongly recommend it. I would say it is a junior version of Kill Team. The cool thing is it gives you two full sides - Necrons and Space Marines - and storage space for them in the box. And the cards for 3 other armies! For me, it was a gateway into all of 40K - I have subsequently picked up all three of the Barnes & Noble 'Space Marine Adventure' games - and then a few older games like Space Hulk and Battle for Armageddon.

Thanks for this. I’ve been searching for the other teams to purchase them and not realizing what they are called.

That's awesome Doug!

Here's our review and discussion of our Fire Team demo (Marines vs. Tau), and what type of player may
enjoy this boxed game.

Very nice review. I just picked up a set of Orks - my first non-specialist-game GW minis for Fireteam.

Did you enjoy using them? How many times have you played?

Sorry for overlooking your post, Shrap. I've played this about once a month - I play all the other Space Marine Adventures games too so this fits in there. I like the Orks v. Space Marines a lot versus the Necrons the game came with.

No worries at all! I want to get a box of Nobz and try Orks vs. Space Marines as well.
Have you tried any other factions?

I haven't tried official factions yet but I am experimenting with non-standard ones using the rules and maps - - - kind of whatever I have around.
