So with the announcement of 2.4 dropping in January, they are doing a complete overhaul of the classes, synergies, Mercenaries, and many of the rune-words are being altered or updated.

I am really excited to see that they have added the ability to upgrade Set items to their nightmare or Hell equivalents, that will in turn also buff the set bonuses! Cathans and Civerbs are now legit Hell Sets!!!

So I guess this means grinding for now is completely worthless, as when the ladder drops in January they reset everyone to zero if you go Ladder. No carrying your Insight and Lores and Enigmas over to the new patch! Guess it's time to re-install!

Shockadin (Only if rune words stay the same as these are seriously gear dependent.)

I already bought D2 like... 6 times in my life. I don't think I have it in me to buy the game again.

6 times? How? Also, I can totally understand not wanting to give money to Blizzard/EA right now, with everything they are/have become. It's pretty crap as far as companies go, but I still love D2.

Mostly loosing keys or one of the disks from the D2 box in a move or something. Once they released the D2 box with expansion and all for 20.00 it was really easy to justify picking up another copy.

I played the hell out of D2 on and off again for well over a decade.

So now they Have D2 again but this time better graphics? But also tied even more to their online services? Plus the company stuff you mention? Naw. I'm done.
