Are these bundles coming in at a discount, at all?
This is today's, 5 days before Christmas:
https://www.games-workshop.com/en-EU/masters-of-the-patient-hunt-2021
That with a unit of firewarriors and a flying tank might be sweet, a bit over 200magic Euro-beans.
Maybe this bundle already existed? I did a web search for the name, and I saw no results pointing to this bundle in the first couple of pages...
I would be interested to hear if GW is making new bundles for the holiday, or if the emails that I am getting are noise, so I should opt-out of their mailing campaigns from now on.

Checked in GBP and there's no discount on it. Nice to see they're sending out daily emails for limited time offers to... buy things at RRP.
What a waste of everyone's time.

It's not a waste of GW's time, as there's bound to at least be a few people that buy them, thinking they're getting a discount, giving them extra income at no extra cost.

The idea seems to be just a one-stop shop for Christmas gifts. Bundle doesn't automatically mean savings, especially for GW.

Then Why Bother?
Unless, of course, you're aiming for people who don't know Warhammer and see Christmas Bundle and think Discount.

Bundles are easier for people who don't know Warhammer to buy for friends/family.
Bundles sell stock faster.
It doesn't say anywhere that it contains a discount so it's not tricking anyone unless they automatically assume "bundle" means "discount".
Also, because it makes them money. Companies do tend to try and get money for things, it's how capitalism works.

Looks to me as though it's just a themed group of minis which may tempt someone in the know or be a collection of kits at a price point auntie Claire or little Timmy's dad will bite at.
I don't dislike it as much as I don't like it. Battleforces are where the deals are to be found.

Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah, I looked at that bundle page a little too long, figuring with a Devilfish and some troops, this might be a way to get into Tau.
But really, no... why be stuck with those units when a different mix might suit (HA! "suit"...) a player better?
Oh, must be because GW has a few too many of one or more of them, so bundle up!
It is cold out there...
Yeah, I am going to opt-out of these emails. GW wastes enough of my time already...

Utilizing Careful Highlighting

As much as the "deals" make me yawn, I do like the silly art in the emails.
Today's GSC one has Da Gobbo in a snowball fight with Acolytes (which are strangely dressed as Saiyans from DBZ).

Stores have been doing 0 or super low discount bundles for years on various hobbies and interests. Sometimes just seeing stuff bundled together encourages someone to spend; or its a neat one-click gift for someone etc... GW are hardly alone; the only surprise really is that they are behind the times and could have been doing them for years.
That said if you want real christmas bundles they still have the battleforces up for sale and the UK webstore at least has all of them still listed in stock I believe.

There's supposed to be a surprise on Christmas Day?

They had been doing them for years and basically abandoned them when they started offering discount bundles in the form of start collecting. Bundles without discount have cropped up again only recently in larger numbers, but it's nothing new from GW and not really anything to be surprised about.

Christmas Day
There are some who might argue that a surprise reveal that comes with a warning isn’t really a surprise at all. Nevertheless, this is one you won’t want to miss, and it comes on Christmas Day, no less. We’ve got a good feeling about this one.

Nope, GW was still doing them when Start Collectings were around.

The grand bundle of a GUO and... a single box of nurglings.
I didn't realize how terrible the price was on those. I learned something today.

Its not even just the price (I knew it was bad, just not specifically that bad). Just that 'bundle' is a grand total of two kits. Just... why?
I get the concept of an easy sales package* for friends/family that don't know much, but this one just seems to highlight the lack of value and effort, which generally isn't helpful.
The GSC one at least looks like a good variety of content despite being a multi-layered trap (the HQs from every boxed set, plus units that tend to be treated terribly by the codex, though hopefully they fix that this time).
*though functionally, this isn't going to be delivered until roughly February given GW's current shipping times, so what the point is at all, I don't know.
