Was wondering about the process people have used to take the wulfen heads and use them for other space wolves heads. I saw a few people that used half a helmet and wolf skull for the wolf priest didn't know if it would be a similar process or if others had done if differently.

It would be dope!

In the lore space wild slowly turned more wolf like. Some of them. In fifth edition you could buy the mark of the wulfen for them. They got 1d6 extra attack, and all their attacks got rending.

You are well within cannon to do it. And it looks dope.

Honestly, GW head sculpts all suck. If you're looking to do a more wolfy wolf, get a 3d printer or get good at sculpting. I use Magic Sculpt for my stuff because it dries hard, acts like clay and can be sanded. That said, green stuff is also great for certain applications.

Most of my minis have heads I've either purchased from someone or printed myself. Obviously GW has issues with that sort of thing but until they can hire a good artist for their sculpts who isn't as skilled as a 12 year old with a stick in the backyard drawing in a mud puddle, I'm gonna keep using other sculpts. There are tons online of both female and male marines and tons of wolfy wolf conversions for space puppies. Probably the #1 army that people buy bits for.

And yet here you are suggesting exactly what I already suggested lol. Well done.

Also it may be of interest to note that puppetswar also sells their files to print. They also have a patreon you can support to get files cheaper and a discount on their Webstore.

I personally hated waiting for things to print and ship to me so eventually I just got my own printer. And, as I said before, it's easily the best way to get bits.

Get a 3d printer. It's a couple hundred bucks and you can print entire armies for pennies. A mini costs me 21 cents. *shrugs*

I have toyed with the idea of getting a 3d printer, just haven't decided yet. I was looking at using three of the wulfen heads that I already for my outriders. I used some blue tack to do a test and it looks like for now the sculpting will do. Thank you guys for all of the ideas I do like the heads from Puppet wars, knowing they have SDL will help later when I go down the 3d road.
