I've decided my next painting project will be getting 4 Space Marines and painting them as Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo and Raphael.
Trying to figure out which set to get and what weapons to use.
I am thinking:
Leo - double chainswords
Raph - double lightning claws
Mikey - double plasma pistols?
Donnie - either Thunder hammer or Stave
Any thoughts or suggestions?

The nunchucks do seem the hardest thing to replicate. Double plasma pistols doesn't feel quite right but I'm struggling to think of an alternative.
Double crozius? Probably not a thing, right?

I did some as a joke a while back, ended up using the Vanguard Vets kit IIRC. I kept them more loosely inspired rather than going full 1:1 representation, e.g. Brother Leonardicus has a power sword and pistol/storm shield, instead of having two third-party power katanas. Because I wasn't committed enough to the joke to buy a couple hundred dollars' worth of bits.
I was halfheartedly building a Space Marine allied force for late 7E/early 8E Sisters of Battle, and when Sisters got a full army release I lost interest in pretty much the whole concept. So my Brothers Testudinae got orphaned.
Anyway, Leonardicus was as described above, Raphaelicus was lightning claws, Donatellicus had a two-handed power hammer, an Michaelangelus I made a sort of flail out of shock-maul pieces. I magnetized their left hands to potentially swap out pistols/shields or melee weapons.
I was also working on Casey Jonesicus to round out the squad, but don't recall how I was building him.

I think I have some Flails in my bits box (Skaven Plague Monks) but I'm really thinking I need to keep the options as existing within the Marine faction.
I plan to still use helmets (with a purity seal on the back as the "bandanas), buy otherwise they are only going to be painted like Ninja Turtles.
Claws are fairly divergent from Sais,
Chainswords from katanas,
Power stave from a bow staff, etc.
So really, Mikey just needs a pair of handheld weapons that aren't blades

Power mauls are a thing for blunt weapons. 40k is crazy enough for someone to make power nunchucks. Just add a chain join to some hafted weapon and let the pain flow.

What do you guys think of this?
Leo - twin Power swords (GK falchions, specifically)
Don - Power stave
Raph - lightning claws (modified with just 3 claws each)
Mikey- twin Chainswords (nunchucks have chains too)
Or should I keep the dual pistol idea for Mikey?

Didn’t there used to be some kind of plastic stowed nunchucks bit in one of the old GW kits? He could have those in his belt and just have an open pizza box in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other.

So I forgot to take a picture before leaving for work today, but I went through my bits box last night and found the options I needed.
I didn't have any lightning claws, but I do have some GK falchions and added some small hilt guard blades, so Raph has "Power Sias" (count as lightning claws)
I also had some Skaven Plague monk flails, so Mikey is getting a pair of "Power flails" (count as power mauls)
Leo is getting a pair of GK power swords
Don is getting a GK power Stave and bolt pistol.
I glued purity seals on the back of their helmets "flowing in the wind" like bandanas and I couldn't be happier with how that looks.
I'm excited to get these guys fully paint.
Gonna base them on pavement with road markings painted on.

The only thing I'm brainstorming at the moment is a Chaos Lord Shredder, probably in Terminator armour with lightning claws and a glaive ( GK halberd).
Maybe a Skaven Master Splinter
