Hi - Has anyone fitted a plastic base to their SM ATV if so what size and shape? not sure how if at all would affect rules measuring to the vehicle - just completed my first model - TIA

Here's my converted one on base. I can't remember what size it is exactly, but its the fairly large oval one that I think came with a Tyranid Trygon.

Adding a base to it shouldn't have any effect rules-wise concerning shooting or being in/out of effects ranges.

It WILL affect melee/engagement/charge range.

It will, depending upon terrain, affect how you can position/move the model on the table.

I put mine on a hundred millimeter base. It only extendeds a little on the front and back but has a good amount on both sides

Thanks everyone - yes terrain could be difficult - thats why i was thinking of an oval base to reduce the width - need to check what sizes are available.

Go for it, its pretty easy! Main thing sticking the wheels together on the front, but I also snipped off and angled downwards the rear wheel mounts to give it a bit of ground clearance
