Haven't seen this posted here yet, so starting a thread.
Kickstarter is for STLs of Sky Dwarf terrain and scatter terrain.
Most stretch goals have already been met, so there's a decent amount of files for the price.

May be of interest to Kharadron Overlords players or steampunk enthusiasts.

Very cool designs. Sadly I think print lines from 3d printing really detracts from metallic structures like this… unlike more natural stone and wood items.

I wish someone was making kits of this set out of injection molded plastic.

Still, I wish the company great success. Brilliant looking concept and paint scheme.

Yeah, and besides just not looking smooth when the real object would be, in my experience the lines actually do something weird to the reflectivness of metallic paints that make it look worse than you'd expect.

I was looking into getting an FDM printer when I seen this project, can sanding fix the issue or is it generally not going to be very smooth?

You can sand it down and get quite a good effect. some FDM printers can also print using filaments which can be smoothed with Isopropyl alcohol/vapors (thought that's additional equipment in most/all cases).

I think you can get extremely smooth rests if you combine vapor smoothing + sanding, but the print needs to be amenable to such things. A lot of these designs are large and smooth enough where I think you can get some pretty good FDM results if you put the effort in!

Print with low layer height (0.1mm) and with the belts tightened well and layer lines cease to be a problem. It takes longer, but the extra quality is worth it.

Sanding I find to be tedious but necessary on 0.15mm and higher, most of what you see with bad lines will be a 0.2mm layer height print.

Thanks for the info, that's good to know. Any recommendations for a printer? I had been looking at the creality ender 3/5 or anycubic vyper

Backed! Really glad this was posted and glad the project is doing well. Nice to see some terrain with a unique aesthetic over bog standard fantasy, grimdark cathedral, etc. This plus the Printable Scenery's Warlock line should do nicely for an Eberron game.

Just found it and I'm going to have to restrain myself from backing it. Too much unpainted terrain already.
