Hey everyone,

I was just looking over the awesome old Krieg models and thinking about the possibility of them getting their own 9th edition codex. If that were to happen (and presumably before the larger AM one) what would YOU particularly want to see in it?

More than likely they will be included in with the Guard codex, whenever that is released.

Hoping for a better Trait myself. Yeah, I'd like the Heavy Weapons Squad and Command Squad, though much can be made do with just a teeny bit of kitbashing. Just no Marshall equivalent at the moment.

I really hope they see the return of Rough Riders. I think they are a great example of the madness of the Imperium army and they reinforce its strange approach to warfare.

Plus they are a natural building bridge toward to further great releases - wardogs for the Imperium and Exodites for the Eldar!

Krieg! What a hole...

I want the skull masked Grenadiers back. Unfortunately, they were the Veterans of the Krieg regiment (and the Stormtroopers), so this whole release being labelled veterans kinda annoys me in that regards.

Then again, rumours of Kasrkins are in the air, so who knows.

Given the recent Codex trend I don't think anyone other than SM will get subfaction Codizes.
Krieg will become one of the canonical 8/9 AM Regiments that get a WL/relic/Strat/order each.

They did have their own codex. All the way back to 4th or 5th edition from memory.

Krieg were part of Codex: Armageddon alongside the Steel Legion and then got FW rules. Then they were surprisingly featured as a famous Regiment in the 8th Ed Guard Codex, although it does seem that GW is making more of an effort to bring FW's premier factions into greater focus as the Red Scorpions, Minotaurs, and Carcharadons were all featured in the 9th Ed Marine Codex, and now Corsairs are getting a small inclusion in the Craftworlds Codex.

They were featured as their own sub-faction as far back as the 3.5 edition codex.

Which came out after Codex Armageddon

"Preferred special weapon: Meltagun" I like that, and it makes sense for their inhuman passion for sacrificing themselves in the front lines

"The larger point though, is that as players, we have more control over what the game looks and feels like than most of us are willing to use in order to solve our own problems"
