New player here. Building a decent sized Necron army and have lots of questions. Hoping to get some clarifications on rules here.
I bought the big book, but then I learn that there are chapter approved, and dataslates and extra book modifying the rules all the time.
Really hard to keep track of what is changed, and also the wording on the rules is difficult.

Necrons are a great army to start with. If you're just starting off I would focus more on playing than worrying too much about chapter approved and changing missions. If you use an app like Battlescribe they will often very quickly update points and rules after major changes happen. Also if you check the warhammer community page often you can get a good feel for what is changing.
