Hello everyone
You will find here, the deliriums of an old puppy fan of warhammer since I was... 12 years old (oh the cow that dates back ^^")

My 1st tries were on metal chaos space marines against a flood of tyrannids (which I still have :3)

But let's take it more seriously
I'm much better with my fingers for building than for painting ^^"
So in the next posts, you will see the evolution of my bastion for my space wolf

The basic idea was, a hexagonal bastion, caught in the paws of an enormous wolf sculpted in the style of the sphinx, its head capping the bastion and serving as a lookout.
But after 1 year of construction, trial and error, I remained at an impasse.

So you will see here, the evolution of the construction of this bastion, but version 2
As well as tutorials :3
But don't expect miracles either XD

There you go, stay tuned
oh ! and sorry for my frenchglish_goggletrad XD

Your terrain stuff looks like it's off to an interesting start...
Loving the little tutorial you did in the gallery

I hope it will help someone :3
(i put it here with formatted explanations)

Here is my tutorial to create metal plates easily

on a 1mm plastic sheet,
I cut 35mm x 35mm squares,
(quite adapted to the size of the warhammer characters I think, especially if you want them to have built their bastion themselves in their history)

on a block of wood I block a square with drawing pins to leave only one side at the edge of the block
and to be able to form it with a scalpel
I do the same for all sides of the square, being careful that it is not perfect
(in my story, my characters will have forged themselves it's plates so ^^")

to form the fixing rivets, I use a punch and a hammer with a "soft" block of wood as a support

then to build a building adapted to the characters,
I use a square of 105mm x 105mm in which I form openings (windows, doors, shed...)

but that will be the next pics

For version 2 of my bastion, I stayed on a wolf but
it will be a large stone sculpture (statue of an ancient forgotten wolf deity ?)
and between its paws, will position the famous hexagonal bastion
the front paws will serve as an entrance
the flanks at the paws will be the sides of the bastion
I leave the back open for ease of play

so for today I present to you, the sculpture of the wolf
finally more particularly the final life-size test

so I started with this (free) file of Link's wolf from Zelda:

https://ninjatoes.wordpress.com/2007/02/02/the-legend-of-zelda-wolf-link/

The size of the wolf in this version is quite small compared to a warhammer character
(in black/grey on the 1st photo, behind the large white paw)

so i redid the build files in 200% format for the body
and 250% for the head which seems very small without its dreadlocks ^^"

the test is done on normal 100gr paper
the length is nearly 50cm including the tail
the width of more than 22cm
for the height, it will be according to the positioning of the head (WIP therefore not yet measured)

There you go, stay tuned

https://ninjatoes.wordpress.com/2007/02/02/the-legend-of-zelda-wolf-link/

all in riveted metal plates
with broken vehicles on the ground
sharp tips
and of course, very good shooters on the walkway

Entry in progress

There you go, stay tuned

Wow! The paper craft Wolf is spectacular! I guess it’s quite fragile, do you plan to strengthen it somehow?
The spiky Bastion is looking cool already too, it’ll be a spectacular centre piece when it’s done

Thank you :3

my paper wolf bastion is just a test , to see , how it's work , not to play

if the result is ok for me , i will build it , in 0.5/1mm plastic card

You can see here an almost final result (in paper) :

Very cool
How are you going to deal with filling the gaps?

for imperfections and small holes, I thought to use the resin "green stuff", but it will be for the finishes

I just finished building my bastion with the plastic sheets, the photos will come later

Cool wolf! I also like the panels and rivets on the bastion.
