The new Helbrecht model comes with two little dudes on his base. As far as I can see the only reference to these is in their attack profile, which is desribed as 'attendant thrall's fists'.

Are these just supposed to be servitors? They look kind of mechanically augmented but not especially so. Also, I feel like a dumb servitor that can only do one task would be a pretty terrible attendant.

Space Marines keep regular humans around to serve as scribes and cooks and the like so to me it makes more sense that Helbrecht would have some lowly serfs that just constantly run around after him. I'm not sure if that is the intention though.

Thoughts?

Of course it is. Black Templars are knights in space, even moreso than regular Marines. One of the major "knight" tropes is accompanying squires.

The mini is also based on this pic

Cenobyte servitors - standard issue templar wargear since 4th edition.

They are the failed neophytes turned servitors who get assigned to the chapels of the crusade fleets and are tasked with carrying around the chapters relics, swinging insense burners, chanting, and so on. Grimaldus has always had three of them dragging around bits of the Helsreach Temple for instance.
