Subject: What is Taus rule Inspired To Greatness good for?

Hi!
Reading the Tau codex there is an Ethereal rule "Inspired To Greatness" and also an invocation "Storm of fire", saying that you can make ranged attacks without failing any action it is performing. But when ever is this usable?
Markerlight action: Starting at beginning of movement phase, ending at start of next shooting phase. (Meaning you are free to shoot without failing the action.)
Deploy DS8 turret action: Starting in command phase, ending at end of next movement phase. (Meaning you are free to shoot with the unit including the DS8 in the shooting phase.)
Homing beacon (Stealth suits): Starting in command phase, ending at start of the reinforcements step of your next movement phase. (Meaning you are free to shoot without failing the action.)
I'm probably missing something, but when ever do those rules kick in?

There are more actions in GT2022, some last until your next command phase.

There are also a bunch of mission-specific actions that you can do, and tons of actions in Crusade where this is relevant.

Being a returning player (since 7th ed) I had to google GT2022 . The crusade format is also new to me.
Anyway it seems I have understood those rules and the concept of actions correctly. So far so good.

as you've managed to work out, their are a few actions form the missions and secondary objectives that would be affected, as they are mostly command phase to command phase, so these abilites let you park a unit on an objective, start a VP scoring action, and still shoot with it.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.
