I don't do Battle Reports often but I think I'll keep the tradition of making the post titles needlessly violent.

Let me save you 25 minutes. The new rules make the Tyranids OP.

Thank you Kya. I will be checking it out over pizza dinner. Perhaps some painting.

I think brining the cat though is a bit unfair on the poof soldiers. :-)

Thank you! Enjoy my poorly done video!

I did goof on 2 things though. I didn't realize the Synaptic I rule was so busted. I thought the Leviathan power copied over the power to another unit. I didn't realize it was fricken army wide AND you can shoot off two of them at once. Which is so dumb yet amazing.

Also rerolled a wound instead of a hit with the hyper morph. Just assume it was a very deceptive CP re-roll >>

Mmmmm...
I belive the leviathan psykick power only works for one unit. Witch is very powerful on its own.

Sorry that's what I meant. Giving one unit double buffs is super nice. I screwed up and thought that only Zoanthropes' bubble could get the warp shielding and the power doubled it to another unit. I didn't realize everything around my army was already covered and I could have given the gant unit more movement.

Thats what I get for trying to be fancy.

It is all good, in the tyranid nabourhood.

I am considerying trying to get in a tevrigon just for the +2 to to advance. As a leviathan player beeing able to increase movement one something (or everything) sounds very atracktive.

I'll be honest. Just having it do what it does without throwing the traits/fleets/powers/synapse is just amazing. Its a 17 wound t8 bug that saves on 2s running up the field, and no one can do anything about it until they kill 30 gants (if you have 2 units) or 45 (if you have 3)... which is doable but not easy by any means.

Yeah. The problem is I do not like the gaunts. (From a rules perspective, or more the point cost. I have actually painted most of them.)

Minimum defensive umber would be 140 points for 20. They just fold like cardboard. But then the tervigon can spawn 10 more.

Perhaps you are right. A venonthrope would also help keeping things alive.

I have to play against actual good armies to see to be honest. Ultramarines is thematic but a HORRIBLE current army to test it against.
