Horrible, terrible list. Scrap it all and start over.

First of all, the Broodlord must take a retinue and if you're trying to do a "shooty" army, then why do you have a Broodlord?

Second, why do all your units have pretty much every upgrade? You've taken way, way too much garbage on all of your units.

If you want Shooty Warriors stick with Devourers only, and only take +1S, +1BS and Extended Carapace. Everything else is a waste of points.

Shooty Gaunts can be okay, but they need to be flanked by a whole bunch of cheapo 6 point Spinegaunts to provide your army with numbers. Right now none of your gaunt units are really large enough to withstand any sort of enemy fire.

The Hormagaunts are too few in number and don't really fit the theme of the army.

Raveners should never take shooting weapons. It doesn't make them any better in CC where they can do their real damage and it makes them give up more VPs if the enemy gets to shoot and kill them. Raveners should always be fielded in seperate units whenever possible.

If you're going to do a Carnifexless shooty army, you're already going with an incredibly flawed idea, but you're going to need 1-2 Hive Tyrants (depending on the point level of the army), 3 Zoanthropes and a couple units of Warriors armed with Devourers.

You can take some Termagaunts and Devourergaunts provided you have a few big units of Spinegaunts too.

I have no idea what kind of army you could possibly beat with this (footslogging Orks perhaps), but good luck!

Thanks the thing is that the only reason why i don't have a carnifex is that i don't have the model. Also the reason why i take so many upgrades is because i don't actually have that many tyranid models and i am working on getting more. Also my proper list will mainly be hormagaunts and stealers with Zoeys and carnifex's. I also want to get a hive tyrant. right now my army is very stretched for synapse and they only have to cause 9 wounds to make me take tests to move. I like to have a devourer on raveners because it adds an extra 6 shots with a reroll to wound that is always useful to soften up a unit so the Rav is less likely to get outnumbered. I have managed to to beat small eldar and Sisters armies with this list and I did kick a footsloging ork armys ass. Also i beat some necrons using some borrowed models in a 1500 point battle and i hade about 30 termagaunts and they beat him but then they got killed by a space marine army that had held back to let us destroy each other.

. . .well then. Enjoy your army.

I'm often baffled why people want to post an army list when they don't have the models available to make changes and they don't seem too interested in constructive criticism either.

I'm glad that you've managed to beat your friends, they must have terrible armies or be horrible players. The simple fact is this list is about as bad as you can make a Tyranid army at 730 points.

So if it works for and you're having fun, then more power to you. I just don't see the point of posting it up on a forum.
