Hi guys, just joined here after having picked up the hobby again in November after about 15 years off. Been slowly building and painting two armies: Tau and Nids.

Anyway, photodump incoming. These are in order since November, so hopefully you can see some improvements!

Damn, some very nice stuff there. I do like the scheme for the Tau and the Tyrant's blue patches, but if I had one critique it's that the highlights on the suits seem a little stark; they could be thinned out a bit.

Thanks, do you mean thin them out with water or just make sure they are thinner lines in general?

Thinner lines in general, but thinning the paint a little may help achieve that.

Very nice work, it would be great to face these on the table!

The Tau scheme is unique, and the Nid scheme is well executed - naturalistic, with distinct markings.

I especially like how you have remains of one army on the bases of the other - for both! Nice use of bits.
