Also cool to see Land Speeders in a Marine list.

For sure on the land speeders. Like everything he had a current meta reason. It is because of the amount of s5 in harlequins and the amount of s5 and s6 in general right now. 6 wounds on average lives against d3+3, etc. etc. etc. Also with so much t3 and t5 in the meta the s6 assault cannon was good.

I'm not sure how they will do for most people, but he was pretty sure that they were specifically good against current meta things. That doesn't mean he was right, either.

Rereading the report of course I see tons of mistakes we both made and think of ways I could have done it better. But that always happens.


Edit: In defense of the landspeeder I will say the 6 damage was annoying to target with my flat 4 damage guns. So much so that I almost never shot at them. I chose instead to put my firepower into 3 wound marines. So he might have a point.

Great battle reports (this and the Eldar one) That Eldar list is why the balance sheet finally made non-LOS shooting have a drawback. I would like to see a rematch with the new sheet.
