Models are purchased but not assembled yet, it's two combat patrols, an extra guardian box, two boxes of dire avengers, two boxes of howling banshees and two Wave Serpents. Plan is to throw 2x5 Dire Avengers in one Wave Serpent with a Farseer and 2x5 Howling Banshees with a Farseer in another. Could use advise on Wargear & Psychic powers. Also how to optimize my Banshees and Avengers loadouts.

I'd mix the passenger units for more flexibility, with 1x5 Banshees and 1x5 Dire Avengers in one Serpent and 1x5 Banshees and 1x5 Dire Avengers in the other.
Its better to the Serpents underslung shuricannons.
Do you expect heavy armor in your meta?
Otherwise, I'd replace the bright lances by shuricannons.

You may be better off with custom Craftworld traits. Use the one where 6’s auto wound at -3. Just through volume of shots you’ll be dropping all kinds of units. I shredded some leman Russ battle tanks just using Windriders and Shuriken catapults last game. I was hitting tons of 6’s.

Then you still have one other trait you can take on top of that. Maybe mobile fighters for a bonus the turn your units deploy from vehicles.
