Hi

I have just started collecting some Aeldari, I am looking to make them Ulthwe. Has anyone got any tips or things to avoid. So far looks like black obviously however I quite like the models I see that are not using the blue as the highlight round the armor etc.

I have seen both bone and yellow colours used on the front of the helmet. What do people think about using the bone colour round the joints instead of the blue that seems to be used alot?

Also I dont own a bone, can I just mix a small amount of yellow in or should I buy a specific colour?

Looking to paint Guardian squad, Dark Reapers, Warlocks and Rangers. How about the rangers still go black but retain some sort of camouflages possibly?

Any ideas or tips please let me know.

With mine, I tend to use a blue-grey to highlight black plating and use bone & purple for accents.

EDIT: This is how I did my rangers:

Kept the armor black, used Codex Grey, The Fang, and Administratum Grey for the camo patterns. The brown I use for pouches/belts gets a heavy workout as Ranger boots & gloves.
