Hello, I've tried to build this list as much of competitive as I could, and also around two boxes of combat patrol. It should be good all-around for tournament settings.
Battalion detachment (ulthwe)
-hq- eldrad ulthran 145 (warlord: fate reader, power: will of asuryan, guide, fortune)
-hq- farseer 90 (relic: weeping stones, power: fateful divergence, focus will)
-hq- farseer 90 (relic: ghosthelm of alizhasier, power: doom, executioner, ghostwalk)
-troop- guardian defenders (20, 2x missile launcher) 230
-troop- rangers (5, gloomfield) 70
-troop- rangers (5, gloomfield) 70
-elite- warlock conclave (4) 80 (power: empower/enervate, protect/jinx, seer council)
-elite- wraithlord (ghostglaive, 2x catapult) 115
-elite- wraithlord (ghostglaive, 2x catapult) 115
-fast- shining spears (6, expert lancers) 230
-fast- windriders (6, twin catapult) 120
-fast- windriders (6, twin catapult) 120
-heavy- fireprism (shuriken cannon, vectored engines) 175
-heavy- fireprism (shuriken cannon, vectored engines) 175
-heavy- fireprism (shuriken cannon, vectored engines) 175
Total 2000 pts / 12cp (-1 for extra relic, -1 for seer council)
Secondaries;
- engage on all fronts
- retrieve nachmund data
- warp ritual
Battle plan;
Rangers hold backfield objectives, 3x fireprism provide firesupport (linked fire for tough targets, phantasm for re-deployment). Windriders move forward in flanks for objectives, shining spears are counter-attack unit. The guardian defenders move midfield and provide screen for the psykers, supported by wraithlord. As for the powers, the will of asuryan, empower and guide goes for shining spears, fortune goes for defenders, protect/jinx is situational, the doom is for anything tougher, the ghostwalk and the executioner are in reserve. The farseer with doom attempts warp ritual, and after that casts doom with stratagem.
So, I'd like to hear your opinion about it. The tournament that I'm planning to attend is at the end of July, so plenty of time to play test and paint.
