I am looking at the joints of the castelan. Is there any way to magnetise them so I can change between the two different types of knights? I am unsure where to cut and place the magnet.

These kits used to be serperate, so many people that built them when they were new didn't have the swapping option.

You need to check what the common parts are, it should be the vertical part of the arm that joins the main weapons. You may need to do without a piston glued on. The shoulder weapons just sit flat on their mounts are.

If my memory serves me well (been a while since I did mine), there's the shoulder and upper arm which plugs into it. I cut the plug off the shoulder and drilled into the spot to install the magnets.

However I've also heard that there are companies which produce the shoulder separately, so you may be able to just get those parts and make up two sets of arms without having to magnetise.

After pouring over the pages I think I have idnetefied where the magnets cna go. (Between A14 and A13 and A10 and A11. I just hollw out the joing and slots magnets in it.)

Update.: This was a bad way to do it. It looks good. But I lack some parts for doing the weapon swap. I will just do a kitbash at that point me think.
