Hello. I wish I was meeting you all under better circumstances. My husband recently passed away. He got me into 40K, and it was a hobby we shared for 15 years. However, I just don't see myself playing the wargame without him. I had a few miniatures, but he had a *lot* of armies. (I'd like to post pictures, but not allowed as I am a new user.) There are without exaggeration far more minis and sprues in this house than any GW store.

I've given several armies away to our friends (Custodes, Necrons, Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Dwarves, all the Mordheim stuff and the Necromunda scenery.... maybe some Tau?) Most of them were painted by him, and it's nice that his work will live on for our friends to enjoy. But with the exception of my (Inquisiton / Sororitas) army, the rest of what's left in the house I'm planning to sell. He was out of work for several years before he passed away, and I need the money to fix up the house to sell it.

I'm hardly a novice to 40K, but his collection goes back 30 years. I'm hoping to be able to ask this forum to help me identify some of the more obscure items as they come up. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for your loss.

There are a lot of knowledgeable people here who can help you, especially once you’re able to post photos.

There are some large Facebook groups who can help with this too.

I'm sorry to hear this and I offer my condolences.

I'd be happy to help in your model identification.

My husband was never much of one for photographing his collection.

But before I break it up, I thought I would commemorate it in its entirety.
(Obviously this pic isn't for identification. Just for scale.)

(The unpainted blue horde is about 40 older genestealers. Seemed like they should go with the cult.)

(Except the harridan. She's hiding with the headless 3'rd Generation Hive Tyrant.)
